I have worked with Alex for three years to rehabilitate my body after years of a sedentary lifestyle working a corporate job. Through pilates Alex has helped me to regain strength in my core, in turn improving lifelong niggles in my back and hip.

From the beginning it was clear that Alex has a wealth of knowledge and experience, but it has been his warmth and compassion that have kept me coming back to train with him even after I felt I’d built up a good fitness base.

Before I first started training with Alex, my approach to exercise was to avoid anything too intensive. I was prone to injury, and both strength and cardio too often just felt painful. Basically, I couldn't do a single pull up or run more than a few laps around a park. With careful assessment and the right amount of challenge and encouragement, Alex got me to the point where I now participate in a whole bunch of new experiences such as bouldering, parkour and a gruelling but enjoyable 21km obstacle race.

 Alex generously shares his knowledge of a range of modalities such as yoga, pilates and trigger point therapy, to ensure each session is injury-free, and attention is paid to form and range of movement to get optimal results.
